Back!

Well I am feeling better finally so yeah I am back! To kick off my return I bring to you this awesome AMV done using the animated series Avatar to the song Running up the Hill by Placebo.

Edit: Actually the deep raw emotions that are present in the series is why I love it so much. Yes they have a good time and they are just kids, but as the series goes on and they deal with more and more they change. They are still the goofy kids at times but then there are those moments when they are serious and when things are put into a new perspective for them. Maturing and developing as characters that by the end they are all willing to give up their lives to save those they love. Which is why I felt this song tied in well with that constant underlying theme in the series. Any one of them would make a deal with whomever if they thought that it would spare those they cared about from harm. Hell they had done that a couple times in the series. So that is why I love this AMV.

Also in answer to what anime was used in the last amv, its listed as Kara no Kyoukai.

  1. The AMV is ok but the song doesn't fit Avatar at ALL. Avatar at its core is a very light hearted and fun series that can get serious at times yes but thats not what you think about when you think of Avatar.

  2. I agree, it's kind of heavy for Avatar...though I love the song. And the artist set up the scenes fairly dramatically, I'll give them that.

  3. i love this song. and avatar is just awesome. I think it shows great talent to pick such a song and match up scenes so well with an anime that really doesn't have the same undertones.
